This will be a two part training) (one day on Thursday and one on Friday)
DAT will provide the following:
1. Basics of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) with an emphasis on service
animals and Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices (OPDMD).
2. Disabilities defined with specifics to Fair patrons who present.
3. Universal Accessibility to include accommodations and modifications and related policies.
4. Disability awareness training in association with diversity training as it pertains to Fair operations.
5. Extensive resources and materials on topic areas related to service delivery and disabilities.
6. Sensory considerations to include Sensory Day, kits, and rooms.
7. Proper etiquette and interaction skills to include Person/Identity First Language.
